Imagination Station is looking for a loving, nurturing, and dependable teacher to join our infant classroom! We are seeking someone who genuinely enjoys caring for babies and understands the patience, attentiveness, and consistency that quality infant care requires.

Schedule:

• Full-time, Monday through Friday
• 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Job responsibilities include:

• Providing loving, attentive, and responsive care to infants
• Following each infant’s individual feeding, sleeping, and care schedule
• Preparing bottles and feeding and burping infants
• Changing diapers and maintaining accurate feeding, diapering, and sleep records
• Comforting infants and responding appropriately to their individual cues
• Supporting infant development through tummy time, sensory activities, music, stories, outdoor time, and age-appropriate play
• Maintaining a clean, organized, sanitary, and safe classroom
• Cleaning and sanitizing, toys, classroom materials, and care areas
• Communicating warmly and professionally with families and coworkers
• Working collaboratively with the infant-room team to provide consistent care
• Following all center policies and Washington State childcare regulations

The ideal candidate will be:

• Loving, nurturing, patient, and attentive
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a consistent work schedule
• Comfortable caring for multiple infants in a busy classroom environment
• Able to frequently sit on the floor, bend, kneel, stand, and move throughout the classroom
• Able to safely lift and carry children from the floor to a changing table, crib, or other care area
• Willing to complete the required 30-hour Child Care Basics/STARS training
• Willing to complete all other training and employment requirements for a licensed Washington childcare center
• Professional and respectful when communicating with families and coworkers

Previous infant or childcare experience is preferred, but we are willing to support the right person who is eager to learn, grow, and build a career in early childhood education.
