The City of North Bend, WA, is seeking to fill temporary Seasonal Maintenance Worker positions in the Public Works Department.  The primary responsibility of these positions is to perform maintenance and repair of City Park facilities and grounds. Seasonal workers will perform skilled manual labor and operate equipment such as power mowers, turf care equipment, and power tools, and will also assist with duties of other divisions within the Public Works Department as needed.

We are looking for hard working individuals who enjoy being outdoors and interacting cooperatively and effectively with the public.  Public contact will require accurate knowledge, tact, courtesy, and good judgment while presenting a positive, friendly image.  Must be a team player with the ability to work effectively with co-workers.  Duties must frequently be accomplished independently with intermittent supervision.  Work must be completed in a timely manner using applicable safety procedures.

The Seasonal Maintenance Worker positions are temporary, up to 4 months duration, 40 hours per week positions that work between the months of March and October.  Typical work hours are Monday – Friday from 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

Education, Experience & Special Requirements:

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License with good driving record required
  • Experience with operation of tools and equipment needed to perform job
  • First Aid and CPR certification desired
